Happy Thanksgiving

Hi guys I swapped out the stock air filter on my 2007 to a K&N from a friends used 08 impala) and accidentally broke one of the lid latches. I did this in my garage which is dark it was a pain (I hope the K&N is flush, I kept getting it too deep but it's closed now and im going to confirm fitment tomorrow in the sunlight)

I need a new lid right? Or is this no big deal? It's closed fine now it's just the one latch that came off isn't there.

side note: this is the standard air filter in the front right (drivers side) not the cabin one under the windshield.

any help or ease of mind would be appreciated.

 

You'll be fine until you get a new lid. Just secure the lid the best u can in the meantime

Do you have the piece that broke off? If so, remove the lid, super glue the piece back in place then reinstall the lid after it has sat overnight so the glue sets up.
