Default ac controller/2001 MC SS p/n

No juice to compressor on an 01SSand have tracked the problemup to the dash controller so far. Could be loose connection or bad switch. I understand complete ac, heat, blowercontroller assemblywould need to be replaced if switch is bad. Hopefully it is merely a loose connection as the compressor was operating off and on for about a week until it stopped completely. Anyone know the Delco p/n for the complete controller in case that turns out to be the problem? have no intention of purchasing one from a dealer. Those guys should wear a mask and pack a gun. Would also help considerably if someone knows a good on-line source for the part.

Thanks.

Try these sites: http://www.gmpartsdirect.com or http://www.discountacparts.com/discount_ac_parts.htm.

I recently dealt with discountscparts.com very good service and good prices. Hopefully this will help.

Good Luck!

Thanks to both responders. I'll check those suggestions out in case the entire unit needs replacement. Still hoping that it is a loose connection.

How did you trace this problem back up to the controller? Just within the last few weeks I noticed my AC doesn't work. At first I thought it just needed recharging, but I finally figured out that there is absolutely no change in temp of the air blowing when I turn the AC on or off. I was thinking the compressor is not engaging, but maybe it is a loose connection or bad switch like you say. Maybe (but I doubt it b/c I am on the driver's side) I knocked something loose when I was trying to tuck my Garmin wires up in there.
