Info: abs, traction, brake, service traction lights on

I have not had the best luck with used parts, so I decided to go with a rebuild of my ABS module. I sent it off yesterday and should have it back in about 2 weeks. The car started acting real odd a couple of days ago. The brake fluid level light came on, and the instruments in the dash quit working, including the AC. When I got home and turned the car off, some of the warning lights on the dash would not go out. I plugged my code reader in to see what was happening and everything went back to normal. I had 5 new codes. I erased them, and after restarting the car, they did not come back. I don't know what that was, but I will find out when get my ABS back and reinstall it.
Well they cannot repair my module. If I get a used one does it have to be reprogrammed by the dealer?

The EBCM is plug and play, no programming required. Try to verify the interchange (as GM may have changed it mid-generation for who know what reason).

BPMV relay off
Well we are still not working. I purchased a used unit for $80.00. that was 1 1/2 hours away from me. I still have codes C1248, C1254, C1298, and U1000. One other thing I saw today that was a little odd. While performing an ABS test with my code reader, it stated my BPMV relay was off. Since I don't know what I am doing, I am not sure what that means.

Sad you don't have a PullAPart junk yard near you. I got one for around $20 last year for my Grand Am.
First thing I recommend, use your code reader and clear the codes. I believe the EBCM holds codes and not sure if they are also shared/stored elsewhere. Make sure what you are seeing is not a "phantom".

same codes
Well I cleared all of the codes, and I still have the same codes coming back. C1248, C1254, C1298, U1000, and U1040. It still tells me that the BPMV relay is off while doing the ABS relay test. I have my old module coming back, so when I get it I will reinstall it and verify there are no changes. Now I only changed the module, I did not change the pump motor and valves. I also took a separate ground wire and attached it straight to the battery from the abs pump assembly to just be sure there was no ground problem. No change. I am at the point where I think it will have to go to the dealer, who will charge me more than the car is worth. So is life.

bad to worse
Well I cleared out the code, and decided to take the girl along for a ride. When I got back my instruments were not working, along with the speedometer. I turned the car off, and set things straight to be goon a few days ago When I got home head lights and tail lights .I still had my idiot lights. I got a little help and we got the car running again. I now have these codes: U1301, U1040, C1248, C1258, C1301, C1236 and 1298. Any suggestions

I also had that done about 5 years ago, and yes, the dealer needs to program it. It was doing some weird things with lights and whatnot also. Seems like it was about $150. Also had a security bypass a few years ago. Only thing left is the Traction/ABS lights. They don't bother me enough to follow up on it yet.
