Hopefully it's something as simply as a dirty/loose connection. Let us know how it works out

Is it just the light or is abs engaging while driving? I had the same problem but my abs would kick on. If you did not secure the pcm once you put in the cold air the wires can become frayed and short out, causing you to burn out your EBCM. Pray that the EBCM isn't the problem, I was quoted $1800-$2500 from a local dealership to have it replaced. I ended up finding a mechanic to take it as a side project for $500 including the part, but the dealership charged me $400 just to diagnose the problem. Best of luck, hopefully it is just a bad wire as previously stated!

Default 2003 Monte traction control

So here’s my issue I thought was a transmission problem but discovered otherwise. From a dead stop if I punch the Excelerator It seems like the tranny was slipping and wouldn’t engage for about a fraction of a second and then hook up. If I slowly engage the throttle no problem even at driving speeds punch it no Slippage. I initially took it to a tranny shop they dropped a pan look it over and said nothing was wrong but they suggested maybe my it was my motor mounts. Look them over everything there was no issue with the mounts. So one day I just thought you know what I’m going to turn my traction control off and by golly if that wasn’t the problem. I would punch it from a dead stop and no slippage turn on traction control and it reverted back to the same symptoms. My question is is there something in the electronics that are too sensitive perhaps and something is malfunctioning because I don’t think it should be slipping like that because in normal day to day driving conditions I would depress the throttle rather forcefully sometimes to get away from a light from dead stop nothing out of the ordinary if you get my meaning. my question is is that normal I’m kind of thinking it’s not too sensitive

mine did that. Called slip bang. Was pressure control solenoid. Laborious repair, but I did it myself. $50 part $80 gasket. Took 2 days but shop wanted $1.200. Been 2 yrs 30k since and no probs. Mine did it randomly but only after warming up or a few miles
