I have a small problem that I was curious as to possible problems. I'm sort of new to the 5th gen monte but familiar with the older w-bodys.

Now I have a power sunroof that the switch doens't seem to be working. The switch is loose in it's trim piece that is glued to the headliner. It doesn't open at all there is no sound that it's trying to open...nothing. I checked all the fuses and they are all good, just wanted to get an opinion on if anyone else thinks it could be the switch before I go buy a new motor for it.

And also how do I take it out of the headliner I haven't really played with it other than when I test drove it and that was only to see if it worked (I've only had the car for a matter of hours) but any help is appreciated.

before going crazy... check for power and ground in the circuit.. the switch should have to tabs on it that can be disengaged with a flatblade screwdriver.

 

K thanks wasn't sure just didn't wanna take a chance on breaking it I'll update as soon as I check the switch
