Hey, I just put a starter from a 2003 monte carlo in my 98 because mine was clogged and no longer working. Now the car starts up just fine but it shuts off after a few seconds unless my foot is on the accelerator. Any ideas of what the problem is? Easy fix or no? Any help appreciated because I need to get this thing back on the road for work.

 

Check the throttle cable linkage.
Check your air cleaner.
