When I go to start the car, it does not even try to turn over, but the radio will come on and I can hear the fans come on. The Security light is not flashing but the Volts light does come on.

VATS issue, or something else?

edit: it's been doing this a for a little bit beforehand, but after a couple tries the car has always started. No dice this time.

Check all your battery connections and all the fuses. My sons car wouldn't turn over and it was a blown fuse. My wifes car had a loose connection at the aux post but still got some power.
