Default 85 SS 350 swap

I posted this on another but it was in the wrong place..

I want to swap a 350 crate into a 305 85 SS but I was wondering if the engine mounts are the same and if I can keep the auto 4 speed trans and put it on the 350

Yes you can drop iyt right in the place of the 305 you can keep the trans, easiest would be keep the carb dist all the sensors and transfer them over to the new motor and away you go, if you want to run an aftermarket carb you will have to remove the computer, run a vac advance dist base and put in a torqe converter lock up kit into the trans

So I could bolt up the 350 to the tranny, take the carb off the 305 and then what. I'm 18 I just started working on cars, Gota make a car to eat all my friends turbod civics and eclipses, and also would it be a big difference in power, I wana just save and get a 350 crate and drop it in with the trans

I am doing the same exact swap and have a 350 myself. I want to be able to run without worrying about computer and wiring and all that. I know the distributor and carb need to be connected but the AC is out and my 305 is down to the short block. If anyone can help me out, I want to know how to do this swap without using much of the wiring harness.
