NO THERE IS NOT MUCH TO CHANGING A 305 FOR ANY OTHER SMALL BLOCK CHEVY MOTOR THAT WAS A REAR WHEEL DRIVE.

YOU CAN CHANGE IT TO A V-6 EVEN IF YA WANT TO.
BTU IT WILL FIT ALL THE WAY UP TO A 400 SM. BLOCK.
THEY ARE THE SAME BLOCK JSUT A DIFFRENT BORE AND STROKE. YOU CAN EVEN INTERCHANGE PARTS FOR THE TWO OF THEM LIKE HEADS ETC...
I USED TO DO THIS ALL THE TIME TAKE YOUR 305 HEADS AND HAVE THEM WORKED OVER AND PUT THEM ON THE 350. GIVE YOU A SMALLAER CHAMBER CC IN THE HEADS. THSI WILL ALSO MAKE YOUR COMPRESSION RISE SOME.
DO THSI WITH A SMALL CAM AND YOU HAVE A GOOD STREETABEL MOTOR AND ALSO A FUN TOY TO DRIVE ON PUMP GAS AND NOT TO BIG OF A PINTA

yup ! the great thing with our monte's is that it acepts any motor in the chevy stable with little or no modifications
the the90*chevy v6 any sbc or bbc just make sure you use the motor mounts from the car thats all the truck mounts are taller and wound bolt in
but they are a basic swap get prepard of anything because suprises alwayz come up but is a straight forward swap
