Default 81 Monte question

I just joined the forum and currently have my moms 1981 Monte Carlo from when she was in high school. Does anyone know what kind of option it was to get only one mirror on a Monte? My moms car only has the driver side mirror (the square bare bones kind) and I cannot find any evidence of this anywhere I have looked. I know this car came this way from the factory because my grandpa said he ordered it like that from the dealership. Is this an uncommon option for this car? It also has a vinyl top and i have seen very little of this car with it. I guess i'm just wondering if anyone has any info or knows where to find info on this car. I have attached two photos of the car that might help, thanks for reading.

Welcome to MCF.com! That is a SHARP looking classic you have there!!! And being a member of the family since it left the show room, AWESOME stuff!!
I like the rims, adds some nice appeal to this Monte!

As far as the mirror option, I am not sure, but hopefully some of the guys more familiar with your gen Monte can help.
