I finally got the cam and lifters in the 350(summit 204/214), hooked it up to the tranny(rebuilt TH350) and dropped it all in the car. I wanted to use the serpentine drive that came OE on the motor, but ended up using the v-belt system that came stock on the 305 that was in the car. I bought a MSD remote coil distributor before I read the post on removing the computer from your 4th gen Monte so I sold it and bought a new HEI distributor because there would be no spark advance since I already removed the computer from the car. I used the breather from the 91 Silverado on the Quadrajet I used to get the car fired up. That carb is computer controlled so I can't use it. I purchased a Holley 650 double pumper spreadbore carb (4165) and I'm waiting for it to be shipped here. Hopefully my ugly black breather will fit it too! I put Flowtech headers on the car when it still had it's stock 305 and that was the first thing that made me want to do away with the computer, since I lost the o2 sensor. Without the o2 sensor the mixture control solenoid in the carb won't work right. It stays on full rich. If I had it to do over again I would've welded a o2 sensor bung somewhere in the collector and left it computer controlled. I've spent a lot of time and money and trial and error converting it to non-computer controlled, but then again I went from a 305 to a 350 so it may not have ran right with the 305's CCC system. I'm nowhere close to being done with the car, so don't laugh too hard, it's in need of some bondo and paint. I'm trying to go with the sleeper look on the motor, since it looks EXACTLY like it did stock.

Has anyone done anything with the interior? Don't see too many mods inside, so that's what I'm up too on my MCSS. Took all carpet out and cleaned/welded/Rhino Lined the floor(RL underneath where I had welded) and looks good in my opinion(pics to follow). Took out all trim pieces, headliner, back seat, and dash and painted black with Duli paint trim spray paint. Didnt work so well with fabric but awesome on the trim and dash. Took out instrument cluster and changed all bulbs with extra bright ones and cleaned up the clear plastic pieces with Turtle Wax Headlight Lens kit. Got a dash cover since it's got a huge a$$ crack down the middle. That's it for right now til I get more time to tinker and get ready for paint job toward the end of the year.

The roof had to have a lot of dent work but I have it all under primer except that one spot.
I finally got all those holes fixed along the bottom of the car. Can't get an inspection sticker with big rust holes lol.
