3.4l Water pump housing
Has anyone ever removed the water pump housing? On my 2001 monte the bolt that holds the bypass hose in is stripped and I'd like to pull the housing off.
I need to do head gaskets so somehow I need to get the bypass hose off. I haven't started yet but I have previously changed the intake gaskets.

The housing for the water pump I believe is part of the timing chain cover. Honestly, you are best to drill/tap the spot for that screw in place.
