Default 3* ENG Codes Advise Would be Nice..

Soo I went out today and decided i needed some kind of OB2. Went to part source and bought wat is called a scan gauge. Its Awsome... Checks evrything and resets eng codes... and I love to see THE KR,, At woot im at 1.5 any advice on how to get that lower would be nice..

Ok soo heres the 3 Codes.
NOTE My Car: 2005 - 3.8 Supercharged - 150 000kms. Thiers 9" K&N filter. Ive also have a 2.5" Stainless NO cat Downpipe (offRoad) SOUNDS AWSOME Res delete.. and Ive Adjusted my boost by pass valve _ not sure if it doese anything sounded good at the time..

I thought a P420code was for catt. I have no such code comming up wold like to know witch one it is soo i dont have to worrie about it..

CODE 1: P0132 - Not to Sure..

CODE 2: P1133 - Air - Fuel sensor Ive heard.

CODE3: P2A01 - I belive is for the cat?

What should I do as of these codes. I know ill always have a code because i have No cat...I know I should get pcm program...

thanks

The 3 codes you're getting all have to do with the O2 sensors:

P0132 O2 Sensor High Voltage (Upstream Sensor)
P1133 O2 Sensor Insufficient Switching (Upstream Sensor)
P2A01 O2 Sensor Circuit Range or Performance Problem (Downstream Sensor)

Did you just recently install the exhaust parts and the codes popped up, or have you been running the exhaust for a while? If it's a recent install a leak somewhere in the new system could be causing the codes. If you've been running it for a while then it could be a defective upstream O2 sensor. The cat delete could be causing the code for the downstream sensor. With the cat being deleted I'm surprised you're not getting a P0420 code - Cat System Efficiency Below Threshold

In 2005 the downstream o2 sensor reports more data than the 00-04. That is probably why he is getting a completely different code.

Ok I dont belive thiers an exhust leak.. Ive had this zzp downpipe for 2 years ever since ive installed it code came. takes 2 days. never paid attention to codes becase i new having no cat would throw a code.. Just recently I bought this scan gauage

car seems to run GREAT sounds awsome.. And like I said befor At WOOT only im gettin 1.5 KR.. and I think gage is sayin 6-7 psi.. ALSO SAYS 300HP :P

BUT Now Not having a cat I wonding if It causes the upstream Code since my car being Soo diffent with no P420 code... ??

Dose anyone thing I should Do something? Change 1st O2 sensor? Maybe Send a Email to ZZP?

Based on the info 03SSLE found my guess is you have a dead upstream O2 (replace with a AC Delco), hence the two upstream codes. Before replacing it, make sure the nothing silly happened (damaged or loose wires).

As for the downstream code, I definitely think that's a direct result of the missing O2. Does your non-cat DP have an 02 bung? or do you have the O2 disconnected or tied up somewhere? If you have a bung for it, I see two options:
- Have the PCM tuned to remove the rear O2 code
- Use the spark plug anti-fouler trick to space the O2 out of the main exhaust stream.

Do some research on the rear O2 code. It would be best to tidy these conditions so the light is not on being ignored. Otherwise, if it comes on for a serious issue, you'll over look it.

The_maniac : Thanks for the heads up.... Ive looked at the 02 Upstream Wires and evrything looks Tights pluged in nothing rubbing...

My biggest Concern is the upstream. Im wondering because of No cat and evryone els gets p420 codes And im not with my 05. maybe thats why im gettin upsteam Codes.... If not I seriously wanna fix that...

Question: With Upstream Codes on is My monte gonna be running Lean or Rich???

as for the downsteam. Thier is no spot for the O2 in the down pipe. Its Litterly A stright Stainless pipe lol... and the o2 is Pluged in Its just Tossed over the heat sheild and tired up with a plastic TIE ...(Ive also read somewere - Wish I new Were i read it. That you can also crossed 2 spicific wires with a special Elect curcit It would work)

Check eng light Doesnt Bother me. I dont wanna get a PCM turn Just Yet Bec i might go down the 3.4 route.... Just Dont want anything bad comming up on computer to make my car Run less effeciant..

thx

soo I have change my top o2 sensor and i toook my car to a exhust shop to do some something about my no cat. shop said they would make a J pipe extention.. The re-used my old o2 sensor.
Then I changed my 1st top o2 sensor come off easy..
now as for codes im only reseving 1 code
DTC - p0138 HO2S Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
is this still the first o2 or the 2nd after cat?? I think 2nd after cat
car still seems to run fine.. Change o2?
