2007 Chevy monte carlo lt 3.5 flex oil pan gasket
Hey everyone
I have a 07 monte carlo 3.5 and I have to replace the oil pan gasket due to a leak. I tried using the blue devil oil leak sealer and it stopped it for awhile but its now back with a vengence. I was curious to know if there is a easier way of doing this with out having to drop the sub frame as that is what I am finding and I don't have the tools at this moment to drop it. Please I will take any help to know what all i need to have to complete this job quickly and correctly. Thanks everyone

This is what I'd do after reviewing the excruciatingly painful detailed instructions for that Gaskets R&R.
Get the very best replacement gasket money can buy.
Buy a small bottle of Permatex® Brand "Indian Head Gasket Shellac"
https://www.permatex.com/products/ga...llac-compound/
Supply Workshop Manual having comprehensive instruction for Technicians to follow performing the repair job.
Provide everything the Manual says is needed:
• New Hardware, Fasteners, Clamps, Seals, Oil and Filter.
Go to a Regional High-Tech Vocational School with an Automotive Technical Department.
Ask for the School's Help with a challenging Service Procedure.
Tell them you'd like to make a great video for Monte Carlo Forum and YouTube.
You'll cater the shoot with Pizza and Soft Drinks.
Offer to make a donation to the Shop's Expendables Fund.
Roll with it!
(I got three snapped-off soft-steel Exhaust Studs burned-out of an Yamaha Motorcycle Aluminum Cylinder Head by a Tech School Instructor who wanted to demonstrate how EDM Machining* is solving the nightmare of removing broken fasteners from threaded ports on Aluminum Heads.)
* An electrical discharge machine. Electrical discharge machining (EDM), sometimes (colloquially) referred to as spark machining, spark eroding, burning, die sinking, wire burning or wire erosion, is a manufacturing process whereby a desired shape is obtained, or metal disintegrated by using electrical discharges (sparks).

I'm in the same boat concerning the oil pan gasket replacement. When I had my oil changed yesterday the "pitguy" called me down into the oil change pit to let me examine the pan. It's definitely leaking around the gasket, looks like along several inches of gasket material in length, not just a few small spots that form drips.
I'd cleaned it off a few days before to see how much. It isn't pouring out, but it obviously needs replaced. We checked the torque on all the oil pan bolts and all were tight.
I've already bought a Fel-Pro version of the gasket to replace it. Man, I wish it was a simple as changing one on an old 350 small block. This is past my abilities and tools as I live in an apartment complex and management would have a fit. I'm expecting easily $300 - $500 to repair it, even from a friend who's GM certified.
My 2007 Monte Carlo LT is starting to have all sorts of issues. The HVAC actuator(s) starting sounding like a machine gun going off yesterday for the first time ever. I've got the Oil leak from the pan, and on top of that, my power seat is about to burn out apparently. It'll go forward super slow, and only go back if I press the button and push with my feet at the same time. 2-3 problems just started in the past week. Mileage 154,000 miles and it's been babied/spoiled since I bought it used in 2015.
Dang, bums me out.
