2006 SS sound issues
Hi,
I've just had a lot of service done to my '06 SS (new tires, new theft deterrent module, o/l/f, charged battery, etc.) because I've just taken it out of storage and couldn't start it because of the theft deterrent module. Anyway, as soon as I pick the car up from the dealer who serviced it, I now have a problem with the sound system. If I crank the volume all the way up, my front speakers sound okay but the rear speakers have low volume and no bass. I also noticed that the warning chimes (ding ding ding when the key is left in the ignition when opening the passenger door) and the clicks I should hear the blinker make are faint at best. Do I have a faulty power booster/rear amplifier that is mounted in the trunk, a bad/blown fuse, etc? I am not the handy type, but if anyone has any insight on if this is a quick fix, it would be appreciated. The sound was perfect prior to this service. The dealer is going to do a free diagnostic but wanted your input first.

The chimes come from the head unit itself so I'm guessing your fix will relate to the head unit. If you have to crank the volume all the way, it could be the amp im the trunk, although it could also be a problem with the inputs on the head unit.
I'd start there, simply by checking connections and fuses. I've pulled my stock amp so I can't recall, but I think there was a fuse on it.
