Default 2006 Monte - bad starter? ignition?

My 2006 Monte Carlo had a dead battery the other morning. I jumped it and drove for an hour. The next morning the battery was dead again, jumped it again, let it run and drove for at least an hour. A few hours later the battery was dead again. I figured the battery was no good since it was not holding a charge and replaced it. Now the car has power but wont start, the starter just clicks (as starters do when they go bad). Should I just go and replace the starter or is there something else it could be? Why did my car start when it was jumped but now it wont with a new battery? Could I have activated some anti-theft system?

If the starter just clicks, you have 1 of 2 problems.

1. Bad starter. Hit it with a hammer while someone tries to crank it.
2. Bad battery/power supply issue.
