Default 2006 MC AC problems in 90 degree weather!!!

Im having some serious issues with the monte lately... but anyway theres this heatwave hitting NY this week and of course with my luck the AC stops working. Not long ago a friend of mine recharged it for me. A little while after that the AC stopped working. The orange light will blink and then turn off the AC. You notice the air warming up thats when the ac turn off. For the little ammount of time the AC might work the monte runs HORRIBLY. You can seriously feel it struggling with the AC on, and the exhaust instantly becomes WAY louder, im not sure if this is common with the 3.5 but it is what it is. When the AC shuts its self down you can hear something that sounds like a backfire from the exhaust...

Can somebody PLEASE help!! this heat is a killer!!!!!

If you needed a recharge then you have a leak in the system.

You'll have to take it to a shop and get it pressure tested and fixed correctly.
