I have a 2003 Monte Carlo LS and the Heater Blower & instruments stay on after ignition key is out. This has happened a couple of times and will drain the battery. I would replace the Blower/Resistor but why is the instrument panel remaining lit? Thanks in adavance.

 

It could be an issue with the ignition, I'm guessing someone is going to suggest getting a new one and changing it out and see if it solves your problem. The ignition switch in our cars are notorious for giving trouble. Good Luck And Welcome To The Forum

I think a few members have done it themselves, I haven't personally I'm going to put a few links to point you in the right direction hopefully. As for doing it yourself or having a shop doing it, I guess it depends on how comfortable you are.
