2003 monte carlo 3400 starter signal intermitant
Hey I have a 2003 Monte Carlo with the 3400 v6. I pulled my engine and had the heads replaced since the rocker arm bolts stripped out. I have had the engine back in for a while and it sometimes has trouble starting. When I turn the key it just clicks. I replaced the battery and the starter. It still will not work at random times. I have descovered that if I tap the signal post on the starter with the positive linked with a jumper cable it comes right on. I am pretty sure the problem is somewhere between the ignition switch and the starter signal post. I just do not know what to check or what wires to trace. Any help would be great.
