Very true! I've done just about everything except a fuel pressure test. I'm thinking since car sat for a few years and gas I took out was kinda Orange.
Im thinking maybe the engine is cutting out a bit due to fuel pump sock being gummed up.
I still have to put in the 02 sensors I bought
If pump turns out to be good and I put sensors in
And still not good. I'll be creating some very choice words!
I won't give up but still.
im crossing my fingers here..

update.. Did fuel pressure test and key on. No start pressure is at 50 when I start car it drops to 47 steady
When it's running and I unplugged vacumm to FPR it jumps up to 55 psi
So looks like fuel pump is ok
Next step is O2 sensors.
I'll update after

Well here I am again!
same old crap! I keep getting the PO304 code but Everytime I run it. The code comes up less and less
I put risolan ring seat in oil and a bottle of risolan detergent additive in and seems like it's working
I have less lifter noise and seems like rings are sealing good!.
I pulled the number 4 spark plug and it actually has a grey burn on it as it should!
To recap. First time I pulled the plugs all where burning light grey but number 4 cylinder was little wet probably fuel! Replacing the injectors was a good idea.
Now it's doing better
when I keep engine at around 1200 rpm's check engine light stays off and lifter noise disappears
Im hoping the more I run it the better it gets

Update! I've been running engine every day and I pulled #4 plug. It's burning a light grey as it should and engine sounds better,!
i ordered a new fuel pump that comes with new sediment sock!
I will change that!
I have made checks on all sensors and they ar all within specs!
So I think with new fuel pump and pre filter
This car will be like new condition running wise!
So far I have put over 300.00 in so far.
Why stop now!

Default Fuel pump

Ok replaced fuel pump sock filter
and now car drives ok but still a little hesitation when higher rpms I drove it 6 miles round trip and it drove better than before. More power..
I still get PO304 coming up and some lifter noise from back of engine possible cylinder 4
I'm thinking that's why the misfire..
After I changed oil again I added some restore the blue stuff in can it says for engine compression
I'll drive it some more and see if it works.
