Reason: added something
Thats a lot of issues, each of which could be its own diagnostic thread.
What is your ultimate goal here? Are you trying to get help to fix these yourself or just trying to get a general idea of how bad it could be before you take it to a mechanic?

Lots of potential causes here. First to clarify, the blower otherwise still works (besides the issue below), but it won't blow cold at all? Does the compressor clutch engage at all?
That'll help narrow it down a bit - could be electrical, could be mechanical (compressor failure), could be lack of gas.
2 nd issue is that the blower only worked on speed 5,
Would need to diagnose a bit, most likely is probably the blower resistors. Fairly easy to confirm with a multimeter checking continuity / resistance.

Does the car still move, but with lots of slippage? Or does it nearly free rev before banging into engagement?
Assuming its up to date in service as you said, its honestly probably dying given the mileage. There are some bandaids depending what you find the ultimate problem is here, but in general internal transmission issues aren't easy to fix and generally can't be permanently solved by a band aid method.
One thing that happens driving around town is that when we drive we often use the drive 1 with the over drive and they will shift in an out of Over drive. If you have access to the owners manual there could be a section in there that explains that. When I drive around town I put mine in regular drive, when i get on the Highway I use the drive 1 with over drive.
Here is a guide for Trans service check the fluid color to make sure yours is in the Redish color. I always check the service after it has been completed I have seen to many folks get ripped off.
If the color is good you could add a little of the Lucas Oil Transmission additive. I may help the shifting.
Good luck.
