2002 monte carlo engine swap?

Default 2002 monte carlo engine swap?

so i bought a 2002 monte carlo for just over 2k. it has over 350,000k on the motor so does anyone know what engine rebuild prices or crate engine prices would cost me?

U can get a used one from a salvage yard, usually a good low milage one will run close to a grand or so depending on the yard

Is that original miles? Or had the engine had previous work done?

why not do a top swap or swap out for an L67, you could bite the bullet and just go all the way for the 5.3L swap which will be a ton of work.

200k miles isn't a ton for those 3800 series II's I could see you doing a top swap, check some of the bottom end make sure everythings good with the current engine.

The lower compression will make you some more power than just an L67

drive it 'til it goes, then grab a junkyard engine and swap it.

that's only around 217,000 miles, not a ton more than chibi and he's boosting.
