Default 2002 mc ss

Hey all,
Really great site here. I have an 02 MC SS. Car sat most of the winter. Had a P0300 misfire code which I resolved by replacing the ignition module and 3 coils. Runs like a champ now.
However the low oil pressure light came on and gauge showed 0 pressure. Full of oil. This did not happen before I shut her down for the winter. I had run the car 2 or 3 times during this time with no issues other than the misfire.
I am hoping the filter is just clogged from sitting.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance
John

there are way more knowledgeable people here than me, but I was told and live by the store it start it rule
start it and idle in neutral around every month or so for 5 or 10 mins
it keeps the fluids from letting seals dry out to much

I've parked cars for the winter (including my current Monte that is still in winter solstice) and they are tucked away for the winter and left alone. No issues ever.

But, odds are probably pretty good that the oil pressure sending unit has failed. The part is about $20. I don't like just chucking parts at a car if you don't know they are bad, but in this case, I'd chuck the part at it. You might even find it seeping oil (when they fail, they tend to leak).

X2 to maniacs suggestion. Check make sure the sender is still plugged in and didn't some hoe become unhooked. Other than that suspect a failed sender.
