Default 2001 monte carlo ss

So I have a 2001 monte carlo with a 3.8L V6. No engine code was thrown when it happened but, when I was in the middle of a left hand turn my car just lost power and cut off. It started up just fine after I straightened the wheel out though. Any ideas to what could have caused that to happen? Thanks.

right off the bat, without knowing exactly what happened, my first guess would be a short somewhere, then a possible gas line shut off (maybe something kinked the fuel line when you were turning?) . Without having a code it does make things difficult to track down, also not being able to be there when it happened doesn't help much.

Have there been any other noticeable problems with the car as of late?

Have you changed or added anything to the car recently?

Was there a puddle that you drove through prior to the event? or did you wash the car just before? If there is an open wire and the water caused it to ground out, that could be the culprit.

Any and all information you can give us to help would be greatly appreciated

No, the only other thing that I have noticed is that my car seems like it has lost some power ever since I've put a new catalytic converter on. Thats the only thing that's been unusual pretty lately though. Other than that nothing is wrong so far.
