Default 2001 Major Electrical / TC Problems

Car is 2001 3.8L

Current Problem:
-Abs / Traction control goes crazy when turning corners and at low speed
-Radio says "Locked" and does not work most of the time, sometimes it works fine then later goes locked
-Air Conditioner only works when Radio does not say "Locked"
-Battery gauge does not register any voltage when radio says "Locked"

Warning Icons Displayed:
-Service Traction Control
-Battery Warning (when radio "locked")
-Service Anti-Theft system (when radio "locked")

Warning Lights Displayed:
-ABS

I have no idea what is wrong with this car but it appears to be possessed! One out of five times it will be perfectly fine except for the traction control problem which occurs almost 100% of the time. The only time the traction control does not act up is when the car is in its "locked" mode. Note that the car has never failed to start except for today when I turned the key and nothing happened. I tried again 5 seconds later and it started no problem.

sounds to me like you have a guage pod going nuts on you or out.

As far as the radio it is all connected. but have you tryied to call a dealer and find out what they say?

I would run it by an AutoZone or similar parts house that can pull codes on it.

Generally they will do it for free and be able to point you in the right direction..

These conditions may be caused from the engine wiring harness chaffing against the mounting ring on the A/C accumulator. This contact may cause a rub through to the wires enclosed in that harness, resulting in the above conditions. Damage to the harness may also result in several stored diagnostic trouble codes.
I would check that first.

I was having an issue with my Cruise Control that got solved when the Dealer re-set the Modules.
Your first move should be to get plugged-in to a Code Reader, someplace, and see what the Code Reader says during the malfunctions.
