2001 Monte Carlo: Are instrument panel lights controlled by a relay? If so, relay location. Mine come on when I hear a relay click, but every few days, no click and they do not work.

 

it's likely the ignition switch not making a connection. I just fixed mine today after a year of having those issues. I had to press on the back of the housing to get it to start otherwise no voltage would go to the starter. CC would be fine but the ON position would sometimes not have the odometer values pop up then I would know it might not start. Other option is the lock cylinder is going bad. I'll make a post in the near future how i fixed it after my 2nd switch (dorman brand) was as bad as the first
