Default 2000 Monte Carlo SS dies right after it starts

Likeits says.I will crank it over sometimes it will chug along but then come out of it and run fine. At idle it feels like its missing on occasion. But it runs/drives fine no lack in power and doesnt seem to have any hesitation. Justyesterday it took 5 tries to start it and keep it running since then it has started fine 5 times. The only difference is when it didnt start it was driven for 25 miles at 70mph then parked for 20-30 minutes before I tried to start itand it wouldnt stay running. Any idea what this could be? The car has 105,000 on it. Could it be injectors? Spark plugs? Wires?

Thanks

Eric

what engine is in it?? is it the 3.4l or 3.8l ??

this same thing happened to my cuzins impalla 3.4l and he needed a new intake manifold gasket set...because they're really bad on the 3.4's they made a new set with metal inserts in it...

check the plugs and wires.

if the plugs have white on them then you gotta check your intake manifold...it sounds like its around the right milage for that to happen...but if the plugs and wires haven't been changed its time to change those as well

I know this sounds to simple to be the solution , but try some drygas additive to your gas. My wife's car just didalmost the same thing that yours is doing and a bottle of "Heet" into the tank dried out the water and fixed the problem. Always try the easiest and cheapest first..WW

Took it into the shop they couldnt get it to do it so they dont know whats wrong. Didnt charge me so thats a good thing... I have a question though. How HOT do your supercharged cars run. It seems like the times it wont start is when its over 200 degrees which seems pretty hot. This is actually my fiances car. I have a 98 z-34 and it hardly ever gets over 170 so didnt knwo if her car is running hotter than it should. Which would make sense cause it just recently got warm here and thats when it all started

hmmm.. In mines (2000 naturally aspirated It would start, but if you let it idle it would cut off. Or if you diddnt keep it idled it would slowly cut off, the rpms would decline slowly. It was my mass air flow sensor. When driving it I had to keep it idled up above 2rpms or it would cut off.

id go and dump a bottle of dry-gas in the tank, bounce the car a little by pushing the bumper up and down, kinda mixes it in the gas, than try again, happened to my JEEP, ran fine @6:00 in the morning at around 20 degreese F, came out at 3 from work, nothing, dry-gassed the little mf'er and it started right up, water in the gas drives F.I. cars nuts!
