1997 Monte Carlo z34 over heating problem

the battery has been disconnected when changing my turn signal switch.

does anyone know where this sensor is? i looked in the book but it only shows for the 3.1 and i have the 3.4

Weird, I don't know what to tell you man....I would have said it was the t-stat, but obviously its not because you already changed that! hmmmmmm....only thing else I can think of is the temperature sending unit, or the gauge itself...but I am not familiar with your engine. Good luck, and let us all know what you figure out!

selling the car to my brother in law. my wife is pregnant and we already have a three year old not a lot of room being a two door....i still want to figure this out though lol....thanks for the help.

i have looked in the haynes book on the car. but have had no luck finding this on the engine lol.

yep, that's the right part. they're generally located on the engine block, underneath the head. but I don't know if it's on the front or on the back of your engine.
