Default 1995 Cooling Fan wont turn on

I have a 1995 Monte Carlo 3.1. Niether cooling fans will turn on. I disconnected them and ran them straight to the battery and they both work, I have replaced the coolant temp sensor, both Fan relays, fuses are good. Any ideas? The car will run hot in traffic (because fans aren't working). It hasn't over heated yet but as summer rolls around it will. I'm trying to think what else sends signal to them to turn on. Thanks

Not sure how GM sends the signal for the fans..I am a Chrsler tech and know that they signal theirs with the PCM. You may have to find a GM tech to help you out.

Hey Sabb. I'm having a similar AC problem where my compressor clutch won't engage though everything else works (cooling fans) I had to apply 12volts to the AC compressor to see if it would work. All fuses and relays are working. A friend tells me i may have to check the AC/Heater modual. Thats what he said was wrong with his girlfriends 1999 Chevy Van. So where is this modual located at? Thats my question.

One fan works when the AC is on, the other kicks on at like 212 degrees.

If your compressor isn't kicking on, it could just be that the system is low on freon and won't engage

whoever had my car before me jumped the fan relay under the hood into a toggle switch under the dash, and i've never had any problems with it.
