Default 1986 Monte Carlo

New to this forum. I am looking for a monte project and I found a 1986 monte carlo with a 4.3L V6. I wanna put a SBC V8 in it. What kind of changes am I going to have to make and is it worth it?

the v6 to v8 swap is pretty straight forward. its worth it as long as you get it for cheap. if the body, frame, and interior are in near perfect shape, and require next to no work go for it. its honestly the way i should have went. drivetrains are easy to swap. body panels are expensive.

Does it matter if it's a Buick v6 or a Chevrolet v6?
