I have recently wrecked my monte. I am curious as to if an ss bumper covers will fit directly on an Lt model. Does anyone know ?

 

Yes, as long as it is the same generation (2000-2005) or (2006-2007)

 

They are direct replacement. ? Without any modifications?

 

Yes, there is no distinction when buying the parts new so a used one should fit.

 

Do you have a website or schematic drawing showing it's a direct replacement

 

I could find one but im on my phone. Go to carID and look at the aftermarket replacements. If they have the same part number or there is no SS distinction your good to go. Like I said im 99% sure you are fine.

 

I was just looking on Ebay at bumpers and all the ones I saw were "SS and LS" direct fit. Since the LT is just a feature upgrade (I believe) on the LS it should like dbaldwin says be a direct fit.

 

The only difference between the 2 are the mesh in the top of the SS bumper (but that is direct swaps) and the SS bumper has the lip kit on it. But that is put on the bottom of the non-SS bumper through slits.

They are overall the same bumper where it mounts.

 

Same bumper, I had 06 LS, and now a 07 SS. Difference is as chibi said, the bottom, not the top ^_^ ;
