06 LT Heater
Ok, here is the deal:
I have an '06 LT.. Everything is running great.. Just this year, I have noticed with the colder weather, I'm using the Remote Starter more.. Again, no problem with it starting.
Where my problem lies is in the heat.. If I use the Remote Starter, and let it run and warm up, the car blows cold air.. When I get into the car and turn the key, it stays cold.. Only after I start to rev the engine, the heat comes out.. If I'm sitting idle for a while (still in gear, but say in a car wash), the heat stops and it starts to blow cold air again.. But if I rev up the engine, the heat blows, until I let off of the gas.
What do you think this could possibly be?? It is frustrating and I don't have any more warranty so I don't want to take it to the dealership and have them tell me I need for fork out a ton of money when maybe I don't have to.

Sounds to me like you might have air in the cooling system. Check your coolant level, and try and get all the air out of the system. If your low on coolant at all, its leaking. The 3.5/3.9L seems to be popular for having the water pump crap out earlier than it should. It happend to my 06 at 63,000 miles.
Thats where i'd start.
Good Luck.

wow i just read this the other day and thought mine was fine. i have an 07 LT with the same problem. i just got done wiping snow off the inside of the windshield. if you find out whats wrong id love to know. my coolant was also a little bit low, and i topped it off. i started it with the key instead of remote start and it seems to be fine that way.

If its loosing coolant, I would guess its your water pump. I had to have mine replaced at around 65,000 miles because it was leaking.
I took the car in 4 times before they finally figured out it was the water pump. At first the leak was so small they could not even find it, and it was holding pressure. It was after I drove about another 12,000 miles that the water pump finally started leaking enough to find the leak. Its a common problem on the 06/07 V6's to have the water pump go out at lower milage.
I would guess that all of you are starting to see early signs of a bad water pump.
