06 key cylinder install problem

Default 06 key cylinder install problem

Took out key cylinder to replace my ignition switch now key cylinder wont go back in all the way can some one help with this. repair guide said to turn key to start and depress the tab thru the hole in top of housing and remove did this but like I said now I cant get it go back in all the way.

As other members read this, someone may have also had this issue and might be able to help.

Thank you for the link but my problem is the key lock cylinder will not go back into the housing all the way. I did not turn any thing when I removed it so I don't understand why it wont go back in

yea the lock cylinder on 06 and 07 are on the column

Oh ok..sorry about that. Hmmm not sure then. I would definately use a light to make sure nothing is loose in there and in the way but I am sure you have already done that.
