Default 04 monte carlo cranks but wont start

Hi, I have a 04 Monte Carlo w/ 3.4L engine. The car was idling and died and won't start back. I have replaced the fuel pump, ignition control module, both crank sensors, cam sensors, pcm, bcm, ignition switch and connector housing and still no start. It's getting fuel and fire but it pops through intake and exhaust like it has a timing issue. Could it be clogged converter?? Thanks for help a head of time!!!!

Have you/ can you scan for codes/engine data? That would narrow things down a lot. Did you do a crank position variation learn procedure after replacing the cam and crank sensors? My gut says fuel pressure regulator. A clogged cat can cause backfire, but it's unlikely it would keep it from running at all. Have you inspected, tested and/or cleaned the MAF. Try unplugging the connector into the MAF. EGR may also need to be cleaned or replaced as well as the small port under the EGR.

The crank position variation learn is supposedly required anytime you swap the motor, PCM, crank sensor, or cam sensor, but would probably not keep it from running.
