01 Monte Carlo SS - Motor Mounts

Didn't read the post with the long list of repairs before reading and posting a reply to your last one since it came in on a new page.
The strut bracket is pretty easy to replace and they don't have to remove it to do the LIM gaskets or UIM.
If your replacing the trans, mount you should do the lower engine mount at the same time while the engine is suspended and cradle is down.

sounds good. I will order the cast iron one off of ebay.
I am now looking to do the transmission mount now that I am done with the passenger side repairs (motor mount - outer tie rod end).
I am wondering how I should be lifting the transmission side. I really do not want to lower the cradle if I don't have too.
Do I merely take off the top three bolts at the top of the mount bracket that attach to the transmission or do I just lift/jack the transmission up?
