I currently have a 2000 stall B&M it's worked pretty good for doing a lot of driving.I think for a mostly stockish drivetrain it's a good choice.

but i do like to have that off the line jump ..and i know a rear end swap would be in need to better that goal but for now id like something a little higher then stock not much just a nice mild daily driving performance ..

i hear ya .. right now im just trying to get it to where i want it . i can always later swap trannys , but what stall speed would you recommend ? it will be an everyday driver , i dont do much highway driving and if i do its a few exits or about 20 mins tops , im picking up a rebuilt th350 tomarrow with shift kit . for now im running the stock rear end , i picked up a recent rebuild 350 today just a stock rebuild but i plan on putting a nice rv cam in and a alum intake if you or any one might have one id be interested in it , but i never actually understodd the whole concept of ifferent stall speeds and the difference they make .. could you add some input and help me understand it . thanks .. keep me posted about the intake , i have a weber carb so the intake would have to accomodate that .. thanks

If its a everyday driver you mite want to do a 4speed 700r4 it's what i'm going for.The over drive is some thing that i want so I can cruze down the highway.Don't forget about the converter there about the same price as a tranny some times but you'll need a good stall match for what you have an how you want to drive it.
