The location is being moved from Belle Isle to Memorial Park in Royal Oak, Michigan. This new location is right along Woodward Avenue.

So far only a couple people from MCF are attending and it would be awesome if we could get a MCF group together to meet and hang out as a forum. I know that ZZP will be sending their club over as well as a couple other GP clubs around the area.

On their FB there are 191 people going for sure and over 900 were invited, so this is going to be big!

Can't wait to see who is coming!

I just found out about this one the other day. I'm planning on going. I'm only about 50 minutes from Belle Isle so I figured I'd head over during the day to participate and check out some other W-Body's. This is exactly one week before the Michigan Meet and Greet in Charlotte on the 18th.

 

I'll be there. My lady is driving the Grand Prix GXP and I am probably be bringing my Grand Prix GTX the Monte will stay home.

 

I got the FB invite. I marked it on my calendar, I want to go, but I make no promises.

It's a little over 3 hour drive. If I go, it's get up in the morning, hit the road and hang out for the day then take off for home in the evening.

 

I also heard about it on the news a cpl weeks ago...
Even though im only about 15 mins from belle isle...I was considering going. I just havent committed to it as of yet....Im trying to get so many things handled on mine before the Nationals....That im not even sure I will have it in show worthy condition... For any of our events thats we have going on... charlotte/ lane automitive,/belle isle,/ monte nats... I got a long way to go..and a short time to get there...

So tentatively...pencil me in...K?

I'm not going, don't like Intense. Spent quite a few dollars with them and poor customer service and thats about all I will say in public on a forum like this. I paid to fly Brian Turner out to Vegas to dyno my crap Monte build, he is the only real stand up guy they have in my opinion. ZZP on the other hand from my experience tries really hard to provide good customer service....

 

omg I was bombarded on FB with everyone telling me to go. XD
its either lower the monte, or use that money to take the trip... sowwy but the monte has to look cool first lol

 

Hotels, who uses hotels at car gatherings?

I'll be pitching a tent.

 

Does anyone want to plan on meeting up somewhere in the area first thing before heading to Belle Isle? That way we could park as a group when we get there.

 

I can't speak for everyone, but that sounds like a cool idea. I would expect to revisit this question closer to the date of the meet to make sure everyone is still on deck (as I know it's still too early to tell if I'm going or not).
