I'm at a crossroad... Since having kept lizzys Sierra in the garage. The Monte has suffered an indiscretion. It now.. Having spent this winter outdoors has a softball size rust spot on the left rear quarter. Where once was a dime size paint bubble is now exposed rusted sheet metal.
I certainly can not afford to get it painted..
Which means to me... Its no longer a "show" worthy/condition other than humility. I'm seriously considering with drawing my entry for the Monte Nationals..
Let alone the meets we have scheduled.

 

i understand with drawing monte nationals but the michigan meet is mainly just to hang out and meet people, its judged now i guess but the judging is done by the members there so it will be a "who you know" win anyway i say still come to michigan

Dave, I agree with John, bring the Monte. We're not judging or anything and honestly I don't think anyone cares what the condition is. It's your Monte and we want it there. We want as many Monte's as possible. Bring it.

John, I know you're going to the W-Body/GM 3800 Meet the weekend before. Are you coming up for this as well or just kicking Dave in the rear?

 

As has been stated, this is NOT a car show! It's a "Meet and Greet" We just hang out, wipe your drool off other's M.C.'s, have some lunch, hang out some more, and hang out.
Rock Auto has promised me some freebies, and I'm probably going to have a few things to give out also. This will be a "pot luck" lunck, ie, sandwiches, chips, snacks, cake, etc, whatever you wish to bring to share with others. Last meet we had brats and burgers, as there are grills there.

Hope to see you all there! And David, I hit a tree branch with mine. Now I have several dents, and no mirror for now. We just want you there. Take a taxi there. WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR CAR LOOKS LIKE! THIS IS A MEET AND GREET, NOT A CAR SHOW! We just want ALL of you there if possible. Doesn't matter what you drive, or not.

 

Think I will take sally (my 04 Monte daily driver) and no means a show car 4sure... Lil Deuce will be under the brush
