Spring '13 Michigan - Great Lakes Meet & Greet, May 18, 2013
It's official, I have the front pavilion reserved at Bennett Park for the Spring MCF Meet & Greet. This year, we WILL be using the front pavilion and not the rear, allowing others to use that one. I'm glad I reserved it now, as June & July was all ready totally booked. The good thing about this pavilion is that the rest rooms are next to it. And I have it rented for the entire day.
Like before, it will be a pot luck lunch.
Details:
Saturday May 18, 10 am to 3 or 4 pm,
Bennett Park
1225 S. Cochran Ave
Charlotte, MI 48813
Hope to see you there AGAIN!
MEMBERS ATTENDING LIST, AND BRINGING WHAT:
I think everyone should bring their own table service (plates, silver or plastic ware), but that's all open, also.
Last time, I brought hot dogs, brat's, burgers, and the charcoal. I've got the front pavilion reserved, just in case we can't get the back one, as I do for the fall meet. That was $20. I'll bring some other goodies, but someone else can bring grilling goodies if they want.
List of those attending:
Ashley (Ashley.Marie) and mom Jennifer, bringing: Desserts and drink
(brewcitymc)
Dave (STUMPMI) and Mrs.Dave, bringing: Potato salad & cookies
Matt (06mistreSS) bringing: Burgers & buns
Alec (SIKImpalaSS)
Justin (Jparks)
(Slugger088)
(Sweetgtp)
Tadd (Tadcaster) and Rhonda, and Mom, bringing: pasta salad, hot dogs and buns.
Tim (2004DE_JR) bringing: Beans
Wayne (RocknSS04) , bringing: Cheese tray and some Doritos, 2 liters of Pepsi and Coke.
Like before, it will be a pot luck lunch.

Several hotels nearby. But honestly, if you're going to drive this far, I'd recommend making the Lane Car show the following Saturday, where several of us will be also, but there will be about 1,300 cars, and it's free.
So I guess actually there are TWO Michigan Meet and Greets back to back. I need to correct that. Here is a link to the poll I set up. There are links there.

I'll change things around this weekend. Sorry.

There is also a meet in Michigan on may 11th. This is the first year for it and intense racing and morad parts are sponsoring this meet. I am making the trip out there for this. I will post more details on this.meet in its own thread on a day or 2

Busy summer!!! I've got at LEAST 4 meets I'm going to, including Nationals.
I'm thinking that sometime in the near future, like maybe next year, we could have it at the Gilmore Car Museum at Hickory Corners. That's about 1/2 hr NW of Kalamazoo. We live about 1/2 hr straight east of there, and every weekend in the summer it's like a parade of all the old cars going by our house, with the people from Lansing and the such. Check it out:
Welcome to the Gilmore Car Museum
Such as the Muscle Car Show and Swap Meet in September
But we could have our own event there if it was held in May, as this one is.
HHHHMMMMMMMM!!!! Got me thinking. I'll make a phone call.
