Alright guys, we are a little over two weeks out from this one! That said, lets start some chatter and coordinating for this. Weather-wise, looks like we could see our warmest early September temps in 60 years but we'll see how far into the month that goes.

First, if you have not yet, please let us know if you plan to attend.

And, as always, we are having our pot-luck lunch. Please bring an item of food, drink, etc. to pass - it's not required but very much appreciated. Please let us know what you plan to bring. Feel free to bring anything not listed here - suggested items we usually have or need are:

Amanda and I are going to bring some deserts from our area for you MI people to try and probably a few bags of assorted chips

 

We'll definitely have to have some Michigan stuff for lunch for you out-of-state guys; Vernor's and Faygo, Better Made potato chips, and some Koegel's Vienna frankfurters. Also, you'll have to try a Coney somewhere while you're here. If you're a beer drinker, You'll have to try some of our local brews like Shorts, Founders, Bell's and Atwater - most bars here stock a large selection of our local beer.

 

I'll also bring a dessert, nothing special since my area isn't known for anything. I'll also do utensils. Plates, napkins, cups, eating utensils. Anything else?

No, that sounds great Keane, thanks. What kind of beer do you like, since it sounds like you're the beer drinker? Beer is not permitted in the park but there will be time outside of that. One of my local favs is Atwater's Vanilla Java Porter.
