Stopped by the park for an hour this morning to relax with a coffee and scope out the area. I think we should be fine getting enough parking spots together in the area I'd like to park (in the second lot). There's two picnic tables, one grill, and one dock with a few benches (at the river's edge) right nearby.

So, if the weather cooperates, this is a view of the river from the area we'll be parking.

 

Hoping the weather is nice for next week. Even if its cold as long as its dry we're good.

 

This morning was only in the high 40's, with no wind, and I was fine in shorts and a sweatshirt. Although, this is coming from a guy who wears shorts year round and shovels snow in shorts. If it's like it was this morning we'll be good.

Still planning to meet for coffee at 9am the morning of the 26th.

Ya will need a double shot of coffee that day; just looking at Matt in shorts will make me cold Burr.....

 

Haha I did some yard work and garage cleaning/organizing at Amanda's today; shorts and a sweatshirt. I won't call shorts for this Saturday quite yet but we'll see what it's like when that day gets here. I'm just hoping it's dry.

 

Ugh, forecast for this Saturday doesn't really look promising as of right now; 30% chance of showers. I'll make the final call on that Thursday or Friday later this week but, as of now, we ARE still on for this Saturday so stay tuned and hope for the best!

 

Worse case scenario...if we still want to make it regardless of weather ....
We could meet using our daily drivers since.... this is a meet concerning the club correct?

Or,
We could possibly meet at a restaurant? Til the weather favors us having an outdoor event...

Well, first, as of now I'm still planning on Saturday. Second, the park has shelters but not near where I want to park, so holding it in the rain is not really an option and never really was. Third, this isn't necessarily a Meet just concerning the club formation. I figured we would take advantage of this Meet to discuss that though.

If we do end up getting rained out this Saturday, there's a couple options. (1) We can hold the Meet the following day on Sunday, Oct. 27th. (depending on weather and everyone's availability), or (2) cancel altogether and wait until next year.
