Thanks for the checklist Tadd. Man, I can't forget my fire extinguisher. Honestly, I should just put it in the car right now. I know we need one but I can see myself completely forgetting about that next week while packing everything else.

Couple things to note...

My front end cover (auto bra) came yesterday so I have that for the drive down next Friday. I'm getting the car cleaned up, clay-bared, waxed and ready this weekend. Also, I should mention, the black headlights came off the car yesterday and the stock pair is back on.

Since Matt (Slugger088) and I are meeting around 8:30am the morning of Friday the 28th, we should make it to the hotel around 11:30-Noon. Look forward to seeing everyone then!

Whyd you remove the Black Headlights?

Just finished putting 3 coats of wax on the Monte Yesterday!
Did the best I could underhood as well....
But...The paint is shiny... gonna try touching up the chips in the hood... wish I could have gotten the hood repainted.
But hey its a "Daily" driver!... Im gonna bring a battery operated Vac..that the mrs bought...It works Great!....So, other than loading up the Monte...
I think im pretty much ready to go!

 

They just never grew on me like I had hoped they would. I really wasn't sure if I'd like them in the first place... kind of a trial.

 

Started packing up the Monte tonight - I think I'm bringing everything but the kitchen sink LOL! Glad the Monte has a huge trunk! I just finished charging up my Digital SLR - don't really use it much these days - just for special occasions. Depending on how hot it is, I will be sporting my own MCF T-Shirt I created at Cafe Press or a couple of other choices.

 

Guys, I have had a few issue that has came up since the last meet. Lorries grandma is very sick. lorries' grandma is 86 and will have to receive open heart surgery and there is a possibility she may also have lung cancer. her grandma surgery just happens to be next Friday the first day of the Monte nationals. there is no way I can make it next weekend. please take a bunch of pictures.

I dont think pics are gonna be an issue... we do have Matt, (The official MCF
Photographer) But, family takes priority ... Over everything!

Sorry to hear, Tim. Hope everything goes well. I'm sure between all of us we'll have a ton of pictures. I know I'm going to be taking a lot so don't worry.

Less than a week now, six days til I make the drive down with other Matt! Starting to get anxious. Getting the car all cleaned up and ready this weekend + most likely buying a brand new pair of factory OEM headlights to replace the black ones and semi-tired looking originals, possibly today if the parts department is opened; dealership has one pair in stock.

Don't have any recent Monte shirts, just ones from Nationals like 15 years ago.
