Thread "draft" function
There are times, especially when creating a new thread, that you may need more time to put the final polish on a thread. You may be writing a "how to" or even just a long rant...

Could you put a function that would allow members to start a new thread, save it (without posting it) and then come back at a later time to finish it off?
Put '100% Agree' if you think this is a good idea... :p

Hi Sgt Miller `Greg,
I don't know `if there's a function like that on our MCF Vb program, but I am sure when Admin `Taz reads this that he will answer...
What I do on long threads I'm working on is to use my email draft.....or note book function on my `puter...
You can compose/edit/add/delete & spell check(Save)...& when finsihed ~> just copy & paste in2 your created thread on the MCF.
Hope it helps, cause we share, cause we care 4-Sure
Peace/out

x2. That's what I do, Miller - copy/past into an email, save it to Drafts, then cut/paste from email to MCF when ready to pick up later. If operating from a phone, maybe you could do the same thing but save a draft text msg.

I looked in the forum's options. And there doesn't seem to be a way for members to make a draft of a thread. It only allows forum staff to do something like that. The moderators and admins can put threads into "the moderation cue". This makes threads visible only to staff until the thread is approved. That's what happens in the How To section.
When I have a long post, I usually type it out in Microsoft Word first. Then copy and paste it onto the forum.
