Searching
I'm wondering if the admins can adjust the search settings here. Many times i've searched for something and it'll leave words out because they're too short or too common. This can often make it difficult to search for specific terms. Things like ABS, AC, PCM, BCM, all of them would get excluded due to them being less than 4 characters.

Keane...
We will definitely look into this issue you experienced..
I do know...
Mike and Jason have busy private/work lives...
But I will pass this on as well as be curious to see what the fix for this is...
Thanks for the heads up!
They may even be working on it as were typing this.

I highly doubt i'm the only one who gets that error, but if it could be adjusted it might help everyone get better search results.

Keane,
I'm going to need to consult with Internet Brands. The reason for this is that most search engines/systems I've seen that out of the box have a character limit on searches had a reason for it. The software may have certain limitations or the manufacturer of the software felt it would be too taxing on the back end systems. I don't know the server back end hosting MCF.com and 2-3 character searches like that will return lots of results that may be a little taxing on the back end.
But I'll run it by IB soon just to see. Your points do make sense to why a 3 character search would be helpful.

So it does Mike haha, nice find. And Jason i agree, it could very well be that 2 and 3 character searches will just generate too many results.

Just wanted to follow up, no go on altering the search. The reduction in the character limit has other issues beyond what I mentioned. Chibi's quote trick is the way to go.
