5 minute window

RE: 5 minute window
is this only when you use the auto windows? or if you use it by holding your switch down also.
if it is both then take it back to the dealer and see if they can adjust it.
other wise youmight try to repolace the switch on it to see if the timer is off in there.
but now you hae me wanting to know what they look like from the back side. wonder if they will fit in the 6th gen?
i would love to have the suto up/down windows in my car.
Over here in Germany all cars have them and they are soooo nice.
but then they also have a front window defrost here to that is just great!! and it is in a ford rental car.
but it is liek the rear defrost we have there btu you cant see the wires unless you really look hard for them

RE: 5 minute window
i'd guess they would best benifet from new window motors, and make sure your regulator isnt bent or binding anywhere and lube up anything that slides while yer in there.
also, i dont know how fast they ever were to begin with.

RE: 5 minute window
OK let me get this right
this is for a 85 monte carlo?
was this a option they had for 85?
with power windows that go up?
the reason i ask if it was a option is i have seen folks that do this with their alarms if this is the case it could be a sign of the controller going bad for your alarm system. if this is the case you just need to get a universal window controller to control your widows.
some also have a **** or a screw to adjust the speed on them . but if you find this be careful not to adjust it to much they tend to be touchy.
as far as the dealer goes you would surprised what they have LOL
you would be in good shape I'm betting on it.
i once bought the valve cover for a 56 Chevy from a local dealer.
those switches were probably used in 30 different cars over the years to include the 80's trucks if it the the one I'm thinking of.
