"100% Agree"
Without borrowing too much from FaceBook, is there a way to add a button to a person's post that would indicate that you agree with them 100%? I think that this would eliminate a lot of the "X2..." replies. The good information will still be put out and the constant searching through a thread for tid bits of good info will be eliminated. Put "X2..." under this post if you agree. :p

Well you can always rate the thread but that leaves out individual posts. It would be nice to have a "rate post" option that would show up as a star rating out of five like you get when you rate a thread. Some other forums use "thanks". You can "thank" a person for a post and it shows up in their avatar section at the side. For example it would say:
"mrl390 has been thanks 5 times in 3 posts"
"mrl390 has been thanks 5 times in 3 posts"

I'll give it 4 Stars : )

I think ratings are great, but also bad to some member's that get rated bad : ( or no rating @ `all
Personally, I don't mine hitting a few keys to let a member know that I really agree, or like their post submission..., but I'm just a kid from a weird `Space : )

Personally, I don't mind the x2 posts. I think it's too easy for people to just annonymously click the dislike button. I think if you're going to disagree with someone, you should at least have the guts to post it so everyone can see it.

For the dislike portion, I think that there should be some justifying text. But, this has been such a positive forum, I don't think that it would be necessary. Only if you 100% agree should you be able to hit a button that shows the support that any particular comment has.

I think it would allow members to disagree without creating an arguement or a hostile environment. Being ananomous is often a solution to be civil with freedom of expression.
Worth a try if it can be done. I don't think it would be applicable too often anyways. Neat idea tho Greg
