Default Would this alpine deck work with my car?

Hey everyone! So at the shop i worked at we were scrapping a Buick Rendevous, not sure of the year but its between 2004-07 i think. Anyways it had an Alpine CDA 9857 in it. I took that out and there was a Metra harness, the antenna adapter with it aswell. Would i be able to use this with my 2000 Monte Carlo SS? On crutchfields website it says it works with Steering wheel control but im confused on the way they said it. Any help would be appreciated thank you! Heres the website Alpine CDA-9857 CD player with MP3/WMA playback at Crutchfield.com

You just have to get a wire harness as well as a steering wheel control harness. I'm not 100% sure exactly what harness you need on a 2000. I'm pretty sure my 2006 needs a Gmos-01 which is about $130. And the the harness/bypass for the steering wheel controls is around that same price. I work at best buy, I'll get an exact model for you on both harnesses and then you can probably get them on amazon a little cheaper.

of course it'll work. idk if that harness you got out of the buick will work, in fact i dont know at all. but with the right harness, yep it'd be fine the addapters can be simple or hard for the steering wheel controlls ive only done a few, and the ones ive done were mostly plug and play adapaters. not much wiring.

I completely spaced on looking to see exactly what harness it is you need. I go in tomorrow to open so I will have a little time to get on the computer and find out for you. I also wrote myself a note so I won't forget. I get off at 4pm est time tomorrow so I will post and let you know around then.

If you have Onstar then you will need the Gmos-01 harness as well as a steering control module which the model is ASWC. If you don't have Onstar then you will need the LC-GMR-CL29 harness and the ASWC steering wheel control module. At best buy the Gmos-01 harness is $104, the LC-GMR-CL29 harness is $99, and the ASWC steering wheel control module is $104.

Holy cow , well the one that's with it should work with my system. Also what problems would I have running an amp with the stock deck through a converter? I was told that my Pad 1000.1 from Polk Audio requires a 4 v preout? I noticed my bass isn't as strong as it should be with a type x and that my volts and lights dim a lot. Funny thing is when I listen to fm radio they do not drop a lot or dim and the bass is the same ?
