Stock amp in my 2001 Monte Carlo SS I am assuming is bad, replaced the fuses, but still no audio in the vehicle, cd unit displays info as if playing, but no sound. The stock replacement online I can see is about $300, Anyone know where to get one for much less?

@jencabltn: check the "sell" section on this site. Either someone has an amp for sale on there or someone will chime in and sell you one. Best of luck!!!!

Also, I have an amp that I bought from a member which turns out that it does not fit my monte. I have an 01 which he sold me an 02 (different connectors). Smh! Should have checked but that was my fault. I don't know of it works or not since it don't fit.

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo and just installed a new system but my amp is bad (has a short which drains the battery and also one speaker doesn't work).

I am interested in buying a working stock amp to replace it. Again, it's a 2001 Monte Carlo SS with the stock GM amp (not Bose or Monsoon). Please PM me if you have one that you'd be willing to sell me. Thanks!
