Default unsure of what amp to go with

i was just wondering if a Power accoustik BAMF 2000/1d mono amp would go well with my dual 12'' kicker cvrs? I know its probably not the best but i really don't want to spend over 200 on an amp...

Power acoustic (or however its spelled) is knock off. Although, I used to have one of the gothic series powering a 15" SPL and myself as well as everyone who heard it, said it was amazing sounding. I think they are great it never over heated and I never had any problems with it but they tend to only hit on very low notes. So, for a knock off, it is great!! Over all, I think its a decent amp. The subs and other stuff they have isnt so great though.

I didnt even mention this. The sub I had it powering was a comp sub so it was made to pretty much hit the lows. so it might sound better with 12's.
But if youre not wanting to go over 200 for an amp, I think youll be happy with it.

At a $200 price point you are at the verge of being able to a very solid, dependable, underrated, powerful and very capable amp, the AudioQue AQ1200D. This amp can be had from the manufacturer direct for $249 shipped and will blow your socks off! This amp will do nearly 1500 watts rms @ 14.4v! I think you would be lucky if that PA amp could break 1k watts. If you were to compare the internals of both amps, I assure you that you'd pick the AQ amp hands down. It's superior in every way and at $249 shipped there aren't many amps out there that can compete. It will also do 870 watts rms @ 2 ohms, which would be perfect for your subs power wise but it all depends on if you have single or dual voice coil subs and what ohm rating they are. Let me know

Yeah, you might be happier to fork out the extra 50 bucks. From what he said in his sticky about his audioque, youll be regretful not to spend the extra 50.

Yup....I understand being on a budget, but I also understand that in alot of cases you get what you pay for. Power Acoustic is definitely low end stuff, it powers up and puts out power but by spending $50 more than your budget you can get an amp that is way more solid/dependable, puts out more and cleaner power, is waaaaay more efficient and is a respectable midranger player in car audio.

If you have 2 subs that are dual 2's then you will end up with a final ohm load of either 2 ohms or .5 ohms so the AQ won't work for your application. The AQ is rated to do 870 watts rms @ 2 ohms, the PA isn't much better at 900 watts rms. So you're gonna have to find an amp that does however much power you're looking for it to do, @ 2 ohms. Those subs are rated at 800 watts rms each so I'd try to get an amp that will do 1600 watts rms @ 2 ohms.

Good luck and finding one that does that much power at that impedance that's below $200.

^^^Ya those kickers are only 400RMS each so its rated at 800RMS both in box. which is how its usually listed when you purchase subs in box.
