well my controls have been dead for a while and i wasnt in the mood to pay another $60-80 for another PAC controler... mine died a while ago.
well here is the result!


i took a spare steering wheel harness connector and mated it too a 1/8" mini jack plug. did this on both ends of the stock steering wheel harness.
for a while i was considering getting an MP3 capable headunit but then i still wouldnt have steering wheel controls. these mp3 players arent that expensive and did the trick very nicely! enjoy!

 

mad propz man, how long did that take to whip together? any chance of getting a picture w/o the player on it?

 

didnt take long.. just\ soldering the mini jack on to the connector and runing the other wire... entire project under an hour

 

now thats creative.

 

Anyone have any suggestions as to where i can mount a dock for my iPhone or zune in my 6th gen monte?
